I've been into cigars pretty heavily for several years. I bought a pipe a couple years ago, but I gave up on it. A few weeks ago I decided to go by this really interesting pipe shop here in town, which is where I bought that first pipe, and get some tobacco and give it another go. I ended up meeting some really cool people, and here I am smoking the pipe more than the cigars lately. So far I enjoy blends with Latakia and Perique with the occasional sweet tooth also. As far as cigars go, I'm a huge Tatuaje fan. A buddy that I met at the shop recommended this forum, so I decided it was time to hop on, do some reading, and learn. Any questions, go right ahead. Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the BoB forums brother! I too enjoy a good cigar occasionally, however I smoke my pipes much more frequently.

Glad to see another brother from Mississippi. Hope you enjoy it around here.

Welcome!

If i'd stuck to my cigar store's blends, I wouldn't much like pipes. There are a TON of blends you can get online that really enhance the art. Of course, my store didn't have ANY latakia nor perique blends, so you're way better off locally than I!

There are quite a few blends with cigar leaf, usually maduro. They're not full cigar leaf by any means, but it can add a bit of that end-of-smoke creaminess that's great with a good cigar. Ask in the tobacco forum if you're interested, and I'll dig through my notes. Only one that comes to mind right now is Havana Daydream and Purple Cow, oh, and Peretti's #500 (which I haven't tried). Ok, only 3 that come to mind lol.
