Pear wood pipes

Anyone have a pipe made from pearwood? I was wondering how these smoke and care needed for these?

I have a Mr. Brog pearwood. Only smoked it a few times, it seems to smoke fine, albeit not fully broken in. I don't think there is any different care required than briar.

I have a pearwood. Nice pipe. Smokes quite nicely. Doesn't require any special care.

I own 3 styles of pipes made from European pear wood. Once you break them in you should get an enjoyable smoke. I break them in at a slower pace than a briar. Basically the same was I break in a Cob. Just don't overheat the bowl until you build an even cake and your good to go.
Personal preference, I don't care for pipes made from American pear wood.
