Even' All, In the process of cleaning 19 pipes!! Had to take a rest!! :affraid: :D  Ken
Pacem en Puffing!

I clean my pipes shortly after I smoke them with a swab of pipe sweetener
and run 2 cleaners through them.A rub of a cloth impregnated with briar pipe
wipe and back on the rack they go.Meers are scraped with a pen knife and have
a cleaner run through.
Every several months I will lightly ream and use shank brush on briars, meers
get the tenon unscrewed and pipe cleaner fluff removed.I don't have a buffer
which is not all that bad cause I can't buff off stampings.I intend to get a buffer
some day though. :)

Two or three times a year, I give the pipes a thorough cleaning. The vulcan stems are the toughest part. I also use Q-tips to do the shanks. They are waiting for me this week ;)

I've got 2 Peterson's with Vulcanite stems,I have been using wet/dry
sandpaper #600 then stem polish with good results.Stem polish alone
is not sufficent and I've tried them all.

I run a cleaner through the stem and shank after every use then put them back together. I don't smoke that often so it works well for me.

I did give my main pipe the fifth degree with pipe cleaner after I decided to dedicate it to Virginny and it was muddled with some English / Latakia blends.

Everytime I go to sweeten my pipe with Everclear and sea salt, the damned Everclear bottle is empty! That stuff evaporates fast!!
