I have just started to collect and smoke these wonderful devices. I have amassed pipes from estate sales, auctions, and antique shops and wonder what I have. I hope this forum will help me in researching the history of pipes that I find as well as providing tips on enhancing the pleasure of pipe smoking.

Wecome to the board..
So, youve been collecting pipes, and now you are researching them ?
This is going to be fun.
So, if you go to the photo forum, and watch the video in the sticky, it will show you how to post pics.
Then you can show us some of your pipes.
I'm looking forward to seeing them.
Hey! You wouldnt by any chance have a "Lillehammer" " Made in Norway" would ya???Just askin.

Welcome to BoB! Pipe smoking and collecting is a great hobby full of great people enjoy!

Howdy and welcome from about 60 crow miles north east!

If you happen to see an old guy sitting outside Paddy's Pub smoking a pipe next week end or the next one after that, it'll probably be me. Two of my favorite singers, Carroll Brown and Harry O'Donoghue are playing there.

Welcome. Enjoy your collecting, but remember to enjoy those little puppies with smoke curling out of the bowl as well.

When you can, post some pix of your growing collection.

Welcome Dean,
I'm new here too.

A community like this is great. You will always have answers to your questions no matter how practical or how far from left field. Some answers are easy and absolute. Then, as is often the case in the pipe world, there are no right answers. That's when things get really interesting and fun.
