This is preemptive. No one has uttered a word. BUT it is from The Mod Team and it is official BoB policy , not soley from cranky ole PB although I am the one posting.

Over the past 5-6-7yrs (ever how long I've been doing this forum bit) I've seen the subject of pipe cost come up probably 80-100 times. It's always a question about price vs returns and it's always interesting to me to see what people think.

What I've noticed over and over (and it disturbs me) is the 'low graders' take off in a semi-cliquish bashing of the 'high graders' and it spills out into other threads for a few weeks. It got so bad at one point that Danish Pipe Guy made a special invitation only forum for guys to discuss the more costly pipe. I've never seen it go the other way where the high graders bash on the low graders.
STOP. really. STOP. It makes us all look bad and it runs off good members.

FWIW I do not believe it is meant with malice. If I did I would take actions more serious than a reminder post.

No problem, PB. For my part it was all in fun and, of course, absolutely NO malice was meant. I have nothing but respect for those who make high-end pipes. Although it's not currently in my budget to purchase one, it will happen in the reasonably forseeable future. The one thing I like about this forum is the variety of pipes that are talked about and shown in pics. I for one would definitely NOT want to offend anyone (other than Kyle  ) with the joking around that myself and certain others do on occasion.

Hope this clears the air for my part.

Gee whiz, I feel reprimanded, and I'm not even sure I'm one of the offenders. For what it's worth, I used to sell Rolls-Royce motorcars (the proper plural), Mod Edit.
