Picked up an old Kaywoodie from ebay. $10 plus $5 shipping.Used oxyclean and micro-mesh on the stem. Soaked the stummel in 91% alcohol and hand sanded it. Thought I'd restain it but the original stain was pretty deep and the stampings were shallow so I didn't want to sand them out. Just cleaned it up good and sanded its smooth and finished with Paragon.Before pics from the ebay ad:
