Please Help a Newbie

I received a vintage (50+ year old) Stand and jar today for Christmas. When I went to take it from the car to the house the jar dropped and broke. The jar was large with clear glass and pheasants painted on the side. I can live with or without the pheasants, but I am looking to replace this jar. If anyone can help please send me a PM and I appreciate anything anyone can do.

Assuming you're speaking of a pipe stand and tobacco jar, I would haunt antique stores until I found one the proper size. They're around. Then you'd have two stands, if we're talkling about the same thing. Keep one, toss one. Simple. Shouldn't take you more than three or four years to find one.

That's some bum luck, buddy. There are usually items like that floating around Ebay. As Rick said, though, you might wind up having to buy a new stand as well. Once in a while you'll see a glass jar by itself, but usually it's the other way around. (for obvious reasons)
