  This might be the most amazing ale I've ever had. The aroma is out of this world herbaceous and it tastes like it smells with almost no bitterness. If you can manage to source this stuff from the Russian River Brewing co (Sonoma, Ca) I heartily recommend you try it. Truly amazing.

Thanks for the heads up Puff, it looks delicious, and the pic makes me thirsty. :pirat:

A friend of my wife's just gave us a 12 pack, he was at the brewery yesterday. I'm not much of a beer drinker anymore and I find most attempts at a hoppy ale to be bitter trainwrecks, but they hit a home run with this one. Ain't cheap or easy to find, but it's worth the cost and effort if you can manage to get your hands on it.

Always a good one. If you know where to look it's easier to come by. Distribution is limited to places that have agreed to keep it refridgerated at all times. You won't find it in Bevmo for this reason. Several years ago, before Russian River Brewing, and the whole craft brew thing blew up, we used to visit my grandmother in Santa Rosa and drink Pliny the Elder to our heart's content.

Pliny the Younger (the seasonal triple IPA) now that's the Stonehaven of beer..

Jeez ! now you've gone and blown it. I was trying to keep this secret. I'm about 3 miles west.
mapquest the bar then pan west, I'm between Stoneypoint & Fulton.

Another Great Pub is Bear Republic just north in Healdsburg, Closely rivaled by Moylan's in Novato.

I'm truly Blesssed to live in the Nirvana of Beer Land
