Plume or Mold on Margate?

Opened an old jar of Margate. Any ideas? Lots of little crystal crusted bits but this one the white deposits appear larger so didn’t know if it was a type of mold. Doesn’t smell moldy but I know not all molds smell the same.

Sure looks like plume to me. Lots of little sugar crystals.

Looks no different than what I've been smoking and consider sugar and plume on my older tobaccos.

Taste it. It's probably salt, not sugar. May even be both. But I could be wrong.

Mold will look like bread mold on steroids.

Thanks guys - I figured it was plume, and most looks like plume - but that one little tobacco piece had the white spots that are much larger so it just threw me.
