Found this nice slide show of one of  the U.S. s oldest tobacconist in Bean Town, L.J. Peretti's.  For those who have never been to Bean Town, Peretti's is worth the plane fare alone !! When I was working in Boston back in the mid '70s I would go at least twice a week !! It's where I got "hooked" on those yellow paint cans of Royal Blend!   Enjoy the pics!

thanks for the info - i picked up a couple of Peretti pipes in the 70s at a garage sale for 50 cents each. They were some of best pipes I ever owned

They do have some very good tobacco. Royal Blend and English 110 are two of my favorites. Thanks for posting Michael. :)

Nice article & pics; thanks for sharing.

I must go there if I visit Boston with the Missus, one of these days.

Thanks for the link Michael!

Visited their Park Square shop some years ago where I picked up my favorite flake pipe ever...a Prince.

Also got my first TIN of Solani Silver Flake there which started me on the high ground of tobacco really worth smoking.

Been on a Peretti ordering binge recently...Royal Blend, Tashkent, 333, Oriental #40...
