Morning Brothers,

I recieved the new Preben Thursday and have run several bowls through it. It smokes great and I am really happy with it. The only problem I am having is the oval at the end of the mouth piece is quite large and it isn't comfortable between my teeth. My Ben Wade mouth piece is the same size and lenght but the oval is not as pronounced and it fits like a dream. Is it possible to remove some of the acrylic on each side and narrow it a bit?

This is quite possible to do midst you have the right tooling. Check the draft hole diameter and then measure the outside of the stem and bit with a vernier to see how much meat you have to play with. Be careful man this is a dangerous operation if you do not have any experience with this!!

If nervous about the task at hand call in the pro's, you may want to give LL at precision pipe repair a shout!!!

Good luck!!!

Hey Piet,

Thanks for the advice. I going to use my micrometer on the Ben Wade and Preben stems tomorrow at the shop and find the difference between the ovals. I'll go from there. I am really happy with the way it smokes. One thing I am having to get used to is its size. It is the largest pipe I have.
