Radice make very, very good pipes. Bits are comfortable, engineering good, briar good. If you see one you like, there's no reason at all not to buy one. They are every bit as good as the other major Italain mid-grades - Ser Jacopo etc.

Hmmm... the Rhodesian available has my interest now. :)

Thanks for the reply. I was betting they are great pipes.

Matt

I have one on the way that I bought last week and can't wait. He's got enough practice for sure as his name is on my old Caminetto Mustache from about 1975 or so.

Ditto that!!!!!
Love Radice!

Thanks for the link bro!

Just thought I'd take the opportunity to point out that I have a smooth, sterling banded Radice that's been refurbed to good-as-new listed in the BoB classifieds. Such a pipe would make an excellent trial for the brand since estates don't lose value if resold, while new ones drop by about half. Meaning you're out little to nothing if it didn't work for you.

Also wanted to mention it because I'll be listing it soon on some other, larger circulation boards where it would likely be sold quickly (the price is right: $90). I put it here first since BoB has been my home board for a long time, and thought it was the right thing to do.

Now that 'bout had me pulling the trigger on the squat bulldog, but the timing is off right now. Thanks for the link, though.

LL, do you perchance mean the estate Radice you have up in the Trading Post?

Yup. Sorry. Typos-R-Us.

(I date back to the original Caminetto days, before the breakup that spun off Ser Jac and Radice, and have thought of the three brands as interchangeable ever since.)

Piet, it is still available. I just sent George an email yesterday about giving me a couple days to see if I can justify putting the money out for it but if you want it man go for it. That will take the temptation away from me.

I'll know by tomorrow if I can do it or not so if you want it, you better pull the trigger quick.

Roughly 30-35 pipes, and this after a promise to myself that I wouldn't keep anymore than 10-17 (my two favorite racks amounts)..

Looks like I just blew the money I had set aside for my secret Santa gift. Poor soul is getting coal now. ;)
