Hello gents, just a quick question: what reamer do you guys opt for? Is there a decent, reasonably priced option out there or should I just go premium?
Thanks,
AG
David, here on BoB here turned me into the idea of using a coin. I 3d print knurled handles with an appropriately sized slot on one end to fit a coin and glue it in. On pipes that have inner bowl diameters that fit a coin well, it makes an ideal reamer. Due to the circular shape of coins, this leaves a small ring on the very bottom of the pipe that remains unscraped. For a reamer that costs a total of under a quarter, I like it!
I've used the castleford one too but it was really shoddy quality wise and broke when used on a cob with a small amount of cake probably the 5th time I used it. My Pipnet one seems to be going fine and it looks to be from the 1970's or thereabouts so go for a pipnet one if you can.
