Red Dog Pipe

From US Pipemaker, Basil Meadows of Red Dog Pipes, comes this slanted Billiard that came to me with a Vergin finish. As you can see it has taken on a rich series of brown to chestnut coloration which is gracefully highlighted by the horn look Lucite stem. Keeping it smokey with Mac Baren Virginia Flake.

Beautiful color and grain. Amazing the different shades of brown that occurs after time and each smoke when Vergin briar is used. I much prefer Vergin briar for that reason. Really no reason to dye or stain briar. Just finish with White Diamond & Carnauba wax and your done. The colors that different briars can achieve in time will astound you!!
