Heloo!
I just found this site the other day, and though I was unable to register at the time, I am now registered!
I'm a twenty-something pipe smoker who picked the habbit up from my father, who, unfortunately, rarely finds time to smoke his pipe these days... in fact if I remember correctly, he hasn't touched his pipes in, oh, almost a year now, while I'm going at mine every couple days! My first pipe was a gift from him, in fact.
I, like many before me, started with the aromatics, and found MOST of them to be disappointing (smelling great, tasting like a, well, something unpleasant), so then I decided to move to the english. So far, Boswell's Northwoods, Countryside, and a local blend called Ben's Favorite are my most smoked.
I love Churchwardens and the Dublin shape, and I think a combo of the two is pretty much perfection. Still don't have one for myself though... saw a nice Kaywoodie on eBay I couldn't afford. lol.
Wow. That was long winded! I sincerely hope I'll enjoy my time here and learn a great deal more than I already have! Thanks so much for being a great community!
