I recently bought a Savinelli Bruyere 315EX - the extra large Prince with a 1" x 1" interior size bowl. What has the been the smoking experience with this pipe by others??? I smoke either Odyssey or Lancers Slices.

Many thanks,

I have the very same pipe, and it smokes nice and cool through a pretty long smoke, in my experience. Mostly smoke ERR'd in it, which has a pretty mild and consistent flavor. I wonder how it'll work with the robust Balkans you favor--very well I hope, of course.

I have a couple of Savinelli's, albeit smaller bowls, and all seem to faver latakia/oriental blends. Rather odd, as most of my pipes for these types of tobacco are quite large. I've got a Brissitt that's huge, and smokes great if I use a light gravity feed. Although that is a wide diameter, the ratio of 1:1 width to depth is rather unusual. As most of my pipes for Va flakes are quite wide for their depth, it might be a good flake pipe?

Natch
