Somebody tried to sell this to me today. Not only would I not put this anywhere near my face, I wouldn't have it in the house without ready access to holy water.

Reminds me of the Italian souviner pipes I see for sale. here is an example.

I have often wondered what deamons the pipe carvers of these pipes struggle with? what is going through your mind when you set out to carve a pipe and that is the end result.

Art is subjective I know but those pipes are visually disturbing, the things nightmares are made of.

I can only imagine since they are vintage souviners, they were like gag gifts something you would bring back for the wtf factor.

If those items were the marketable ones wonder how the seconds looked? "shudders" hahaha
 
Images and figures to people "back then" must not seem as scary, I guess. Or we're just a bunch of sissies, now. :lol: I mean, look at the clown art and figurines people would collect from the 50s to the 70s. Absolutely horrific on today's standard.
