Do others here notice a change in your baccy tastes as the seasons change?
I've noticed that I do. As we head toward colder weather, through the fall, I have noticed I desire more pure tobaccos & English blends, while in the warmer summer months I like Aromatics more. Key Largo stands out as a cold weather favorite, while Devils Holiday stands out as a warm weather staple.
Of course I like FVF anytime.

My experience is very similar. With the warmer weather here in the Southern hemisphere, my tastes are turning away from the Lat-heavy blends I seek out in winter. Now it's all about Va's & VaPers. Although, as you say, FVF remains a staple. This basically means all my Lat pipes have a few months respite.

Cubed, straight burley always seem to taste better in a cob on a hot, humid day (which down here in Arkeiland is about half the year!). Latakias seem to taste a little better in cold weather. Virginias, and all their variants (especially Lakeland flakes) are the majority of what I smoke and they seem to work year round. I smoke just about all my favoriet blends year round, but do tend to gravitate a bit towards certain ones based upon the season.

Natch

I can smoke Burleys year 'round, but in the heat of the summer I stick with VA's and VaPer's. I prefer the heavier English Blends for Fall and Winter.

I smoke my favorites any time of the year regardless of their characteristics.

I find as the years build, that I'm moving less from Lat blends in general, though I used to be a very seasonal smoker. I do find though that my taste still favors 'heavier' flavors in the winter. My all time favorite smoke for a long winter evening is G&H Brown Unscented Flake. Lakeland flakes in general satisfy me all the time, scented or unscented. I'm mainly smoking VA's Vapers (by anyone really) Lakeland flakes or Burley mixtures these days.
