Selected Straight Grain Restoration (Comoys)

I discovered this interesting Comoys niche via some posts on the SmokersForums.uk. I found this neat little bent billiard and restored it last week. The pipe smokes very well. I wrote an essay on the restoration posted on the "Reborn Pipes" blog.

I do not own any Comoys (yet). Are they in the same category as GBD's and Sasieni?

I'd say many are a step above GBD and equal to or better than a similar vintage Sasieni. (I do own GBD's, but no Sasieni in the collection).

Very nice restoration, riff raff.

I'll have to remember the 'Superglue and Briar' technique.
That's pretty cool and it looks much better than the factory fill.

The best thing is that the pipe was $20 bucks on Ebay.
