Silver band or not?

I am finalizing my order with Ian Walker and I have the option to add a silver band for £15. It will be a group 5 Rhodesian( bent bulldog) with a tapered green Cumberland stem. Will be Bruyere premium finish. I do like the ferndowns with the silver band, but I also like the dunhill 5108 without the silver band.

On a pipe as big as that, I think a silver band will show up nicely. It will also strenghten the shank. Go for it!

I've always thought Rhodesians with those military stems looked ridiculously cool with silver, otherwise I could take it or leave it.
