I'll try to keep this short...

In the early 90s, an acquaintance of mine traded me an Ashton poker. I was the second owner. One of my favorite pipes. For various reasons, I sold all my pipes; all but a couple of cripples that weren't worth anything. Years later, I only regretted selling a pipe or four. One of those regrets was the Ashton poker. It was forgotten until I ran into on eBay in December of 2012. Horrible timing. I couldn't step up to the bidding war.

So, now I'm wondering what the best way might be to tracking it down. I'm not under the assumption that it is for sale, but I'd like to know where it is and to at least maybe make an offer. I saved the eBay photos. It was amazing to see it again, so I had to at least have those mementos. Some other things make the pipe special to me. It isn't just because of the pipe that I'd like to have it back.

Other than this message board, are there any others that could produce a lead? Or maybe someone here knows avid Ashton collectors? Any ideas?

I'm at a loss but this isn't anywhere near something I'd be particularly helpful at. Best wishes, will be following to hopefully see success.

Unless you noted the sellers or winners handle you might SOL. I really sucks that everything on eBay is anonymous now.
