I purchased some estate pipes and a few of the kaywoodies had overturned stems. I took a candle and heated the tip of the stinger for a minute or so then screwed the stem in til it was lined back up. What I'm wondering is if there is anything wrong with doing it this way? It was very easy and the stem is tight again after it cooled down. Anybody have a better way of correcting an overturned stem?
