A member of the NYC pipe club recently sent me a small group of pipes for restoration. First up in that lot is this tidy little Surbrug's Special Author. I once had a Savinelli 320ks. I decided I didn't quite like it's proportions. I like the proportions of the author shape like this pipe better. Nice work, Al.
