I've definitely been there! But once the seasons change, so do my tastes luckily. In the middle of summer you couldn't pay me enough to smoke a blend with that vile and sickly sweet Latakia in it, I hadn't smoked an English blend since April probably.
But like a light switch, once we got our first hard frost a few days ago, I loaded up a bowl of Plum Pudding and it completely hit the spot! Now I'm wondering how I ever smoked those bland, tasteless Virginia blends I stocked up on over the summer months lol. Some good pipe advice I got was to never give up on a blend just because you don't like it right now.... Although I don't imagine I'll ever come around to Newminister 400 lol.
