Morning folks! I just joined a few days ago..I've been smoking on and off for the past 50 years. I started smoking pipes in the early 60's. Worked at a pipe shop in Coral Gables, Florida (Kirks) where I was introduced to the Comoy line. My friend and boss told me to pick a good quality, comfortable feeling pipe and stick with it...you'll never go wrong. So I started collecting Comoys and have 10 to date including 2 Blue Ribands and a selected straight grain that was given to me by the Comoy Rep. when he came visiting. I enjoy a Lion Head meerschaum with an amber bit. It and the calabash don't get enough smoking exposure but I'm working on it. I've been smoking a wonderful local private label tobacco that I accidently left in the humidor for 3 years when I had to take a hiatus from smoking due to back surgery. The humidor kept it sweet and well cured and it is perhaps better than when I put it in. Anyway, sorry for the long run on thought but it is such a pleasure to find like minded folks who enjoy this fine pleasure. Thanks for the opportunity to join and listen in.
