To me, the billiard shape is the epitome of the pipe maker's art; balanced, beautiful, with perfect smoking characteristics. The thread about the quintessential billiard inspired me to examine mine. If I was forced to pare my collection down to a pipe a day, these seven might very well be the ones that remain...

From upper left: Kaywoodie Super grain...four Peterson's (three 106's and a 105)...a pipe marked "By Lassen" (the Lassen Pipe Shop was housed in the lower level of the Lassen Hotel in Wichita; it's long gone now. They did make pipes on premises but I don't know if they made this one or if it's a stencil)...a Dunhill LB.

If I had to get by with these, I expect I could do so, and nicely.

Nice set !

I pick out that 105 and think "perfect". Blows the Dunhill away in my opinion.

Other than the P-Lip I'd pick that pipe any day! Very nice looking classic billiards. They don't make many like that nowadays.

Strange, I've always thought of pipes as female, MrE!
Nice pipes!
