German born Daniel Mustran the Pipemaker who practices his craft in Croatia is the man behind the ND line of pipes. This is the pipe I call the Birdseye Beast although my photo is not the best angle to see the front.

The beautiful scalloped panel bowl is accented with black acrylic, Boxwood and Rosewood spacers, the shank is diamond shaped black acrylic which morphs into the hexagonal Boxwood spacer then morphs into the round Rosewood spacer to meet the stem.

I stacked some Mac Baren Virginia Flake after rolling it cigar style and teased the top for lighting it, definitely doing a fine job of keeping it smokey.

I gotta say: I'd like to see a few more photos of this one. Like I said in the other thread, I like simple pipes, but there is the rare exception. This appears to be one of those.

I will tomorrow Zeno once it's been cleaned and ready for the rack, cheers.

A Masterpiece, like a work of fine Art. From the design/shape of the bowl and shape of the shank. Also the completion of the shank...round rosewood spacer.... well thought on the drawing board. 'Tis a BEAUTY!!

WOW....appreciate you taking the time to post more pictures. It's a beautiful piece of briar and now we can see the Birdseye better. Also the way the maker completed the bottom of the bowl and the end shank work. Now this is what I would call an Artisan pipe without reservation!!

Yes, thank you so very much for taking the time to take the pictures. That is one sharp pipe. Interesting ideas well executed.

Zeno, until you mentioned the chess piece I had never thought of it until I took the side view shots, it looks like a chess piece for sure, thanks for your comments.
