Nice afternoon not a lot of breeze, just enough to get some ashes on my black shirt, low 70's and middle of the road humidity wise.

Had planned on having some Bob's Chocolate Flake in this pipe when I noticed I had left some OGS out so I figured since it was perfectly ready to smoke I'd just fill it up.

From the capable hand of Chris Askwith, obviously steady as well considering the length of the shank on this pipe, comes this outrageously beautiful almost 10" long Morta Cutty with Maple Syrup Stem. Keeping it smokey.

I've got to say, of all the show and tell you've done that's got to be the most impressive....
I didn't say favorite, that Birdseye covered horn you showed a couple weeks back is probably my favorite pipe, ever.. Lol.

You are blessed in the wood department sir. Lol.

Lots of pipes, and birdseye, to get through yet. I have one for certain you might just sob over! ;)

Oh there's been more than a few that have triggered that duel "jealousy/happy for ya" feeling.

I'm just glad you share. Most of the high quality pipes are purchased and hidden away for eternity.

Mr. Askith sure can turn out a beauty. That long shank in morta is stunning, congrats!

Same thing happens with bamboo fly rods, SxS shotguns etc. while I have a few that haven't been smoked the right time hasn't revealed itself but when it does it's gonna be smokey! ;)

puros_bran,
The grade down from the very top of the Il Duca Pipe is the Conte Fiammata held for highly birdseyed pipes with bamboo shanks, here is mine but in my opinion too much flash in the photo.
