Pardon if my Typing's slurred...
A few hours ago I sat down with a pipe and a a couple fingers of rye, and noticed that another of my pipes could use a good scrubbing. Of course what kinda pipe owner would I be if I didn't "quality control test" the cleaning solution first? (Bacardi 151) While cleaning that pipe I noticed its sister pipe hadn't been cleaned in a while either. More quality control!
...And so on through my collection. Don't know how these things get so dirty. Pretty sure a few haven't even been smoked since the last quality control...I mean cleaning night. 40-odd pipes later, 3 things I do know:
1. Need more cleaning solution.
2. Not driving anywhere tonight to get it.

LOL, I've purposely not cleaned my pipes for a month so I get the back of the rack back in the rotation. Where did all these come from?

My cleaning solution is Everclear , I just cant bring myself to do a quality control check on it.

Everclear makes a great cleaning solution, you just have to dilute or mix it for human consumption. 8)
Pretty sure you can't get that in Michigan. I've only seen it on store shelves in Indiana.

Yeah they don't sell it in Michigan, it's one of those things us Hoosiers have to smuggle up to our northern friends

I bought mine out of state they dont sell it in Pa. , something the brothers may want to consider picking up in there travels though.

I am bad when it comes to cleaning my pipes, I should not be so lazy and start a good cleaning ritual. SHAME ON ME

Never seen Everclear here in GA, but they do have Golden Grain, Works great. maybe you guys can find some of that?

According to Wiki-Pedia here's who can sell Everclear and the proofs available

" Canada

In Canada, Everclear is sold in the province of Alberta, but not in most other provinces. In British Columbia, it is available for purchase with a permit for medical use, research use, or industrial use only.

[edit] United States

Some municipalities, such as Chicago, have banned Everclear, even though the states to which they belong allow it to be sold.

Consumers may legally purchase Everclear in Pennsylvania but must first obtain a permit to do so and agree not to drink it or furnish it to anyone else.[2] .

[edit] 190-proof

In the United States, it is illegal to sell the 190-proof variety in California, Florida[3], Iowa, Minnesota, North Carolina[4], Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia.

[edit] 151-proof

The 151-proof variety is legally available for sale in California, Florida, Iowa,[5] Michigan,[6] Minnesota, Nevada, North Carolina, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and other states. "

Unless I'm way off, I'm pretty sure Ohio is also on the list of states that don't carry Everclear.

Just ask Monbla. Between this and his comprehensive listing of Dunhill tobaccos, and a few other posts, I'm about to start calling him Monblapedia Britanica. :p
