OK, I'm not afraid to admit it. I don't know squat about pipe tobacco.

I purchase tobacco basically on a trial and error basis. If something catches my eye, I'll buy it and try it. I bought some I really like and some that I think really suck flavor wise. So far, some of my favorites are CAO Eileen's Dream, Peterson Sweet Killarney, Peterson Sunset Breeze (which I just tried tonight and like), and Davidoff Red Mixture. I guess that should give you some sort of idea where my tobacco preference is at this point in time. So... To spare me some wasted $$ on tobacco that I won't like, would you seasoned Brothers of Briar have any suggestions on tobacco for me to try?

Thanks!

I suggest this: https://www.brothersofbriar.com/search?search_keywords=Suggestions&sid=&q=&domains=www.brothersofbriar.com&sitesearch=www.brothersofbriar.com&client=&forid=1&ie=iso-8859-1&oe=iso-8859-1&hl=en&cof=GALT%3A%23606060%3BGL%3A1%3BDIV%3A%23fafafa%3BVLC%3A%235493b4%3BAH%3Acenter%3BBGC%3A%23f1ebdb%3BLBGC%3A%23fafafa%3BALC%3A%235493b4%3BLC%3A%23606060%3BT%3A%23000000%3BGFNT%3A%23606060%3BGIMP%3A%23606060%3BFORID%3A11&search_terms=any&search_author=&search_where=f2&search_time=0&show_results=topics&sort_by=0&sort_dir=DESC&google=

But since we all love talking about our favs, I'm sure some others will lend a hand, as well...

I'm not looking for suggestions for every tobacco made. Just ones somewhat similar to the ones I mentioned. Not exact, but tobaccos in the sweet flavor line of things.

If you are looking for "sweet" a good natural Straight Va would be a good way to go. I'd personally recomend sme of McClelland's Va's especially their Fragrant Matured 2000 which is sold in bulk. A nice matured Red Va in a broken flake which is easy to prep and if sipped easy, easy is bite free :p Another would be their Blackwoods Flake, another sweet Red Va mixture in broken flake form ( it is different than FM 2000 but in the same vien so to speak) in 50 and 100g tins. I recomend BOTH highly as well as smoke BOTH :p
