Trying to identify a pipe found at Gallipoli...

I realize this is a very long shot, but can anyone help me identify this pipe? I found it on a beach in Gallipoli last summer, and a couple of pipe collectors have said they think it might be a Peterson military model. I'm wondering if there's any way to know if it dates from WWI…

I'm no expert but it definitely looks like Peterson military mount.
