Half way through this bowl of Sam Gawith Brown Sugar Flake in a 1980s White Pipe straight lattice apple meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem. Just posted an update of my review of this blend at TR.

Now smoking 4th Generation Night Slice in a 1970s smooth medium bend Stanwell Registered 969-48 Design Choice 837 sitter with a vulcanite stem and ferrule in the military mount style. Haven't smoked this pipe in quite a while. Working on a review of this blend. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

What did you think of Brown Sugar Flake? I've heard it's delicious but extremely hard to light and keep lit
That is the exact impression that I got from smoking it! It is pretty good once you get it going, but I had quite a time keeping it lit. I didn't have time at the meeting to let it sit out for a few hours to dry out.

Just finished a bowl of C&D Longevity II in a Dunhill Bruyere.

C&D Burely Flake #1 in a Peterson rusticated 302 system pipe. Stuffed a small wad of cotton ball in the well to see how that affects the juice control. Right now this is tasting like a burley but a little sour. Hope the red Va doesn't give me any problems. I can smoke small batch Carolina Red Flake no problem, but just opened this tin.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, snapper and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm half way through this bowl of Ken Byron Ventures Mr. Christian’s Brown Flek 2021 in a straight smooth dark brown year 1933 Parker Super Bruyere patent 10 T 81/F lovat with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

I'm smoking an Altinay Zulu with GH Dark Birdseye gifted by @WarneOut with the purchase of the pipe! Listening to Julian Bream, one of the greats of classical guitar.View attachment 9087
Nice, hope you're enjoying it.
A few points, from my own experience:

1.The shag cuts can get a bit hot in the lightweight meers unless you're mindful. Of course you can smoke them in any pipe, but I usually end up getting a better smoke out of a calabash or briar specifically for Dark Birdseye and Kendal Kentucky. For pretty much any other blend I default to my meers.

2. You may have noticed this already, but the retrohale from Dark Birdseye is like the scorching fires of Hell. Never figured out why this is. It's very smooth on the palate, no tongue bite or irritation.

Finished work for the day, and am almost half way through this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger stood at the entrance to the den with that "You're late in feeding us" look. Glad they weren't armed!

This Easter i was the winner in the ''red egg breaking contest'' (you can see the scratches on the top), i beat them all one by one and after i left my ''Terminator-egg'' beside me (the next day would be stored according to the custom here) my wife you know what she did? She sneaky hit it ''accidentally'' to the side and made a crack, oh my God she destroyed a piece of Art !
