Swede, I'm not yet very good at identifiying the flavor notes of blends. But I'll take a stab at it: It is lightly cased, or contains a cased tobacco. I seem to detect vanilla and possibly maple. Not too dominant. That's when smoking. In the humidor it seems like a mild caramel scent. When I asked about the blend at Schwab's the fellow I talked to wasn't very specific about what was in it except to say it was one of their more complex blends. There is a nice sweet flavor from the Virginia in it. And I think it may have some Oriental in it that gives it some mild spice notes. I'd say the room note is pleasant. The nic hit is mild. Sorry, but I'm just not ready to start posting on Tobacco Reviews.

Well it seemed like a good review to me Eutychus, well done. I think all reviews IMHO could be seen as subjective regarding the taste. But I have great admiration for those, like our Jiminks, who can discern every little flavour. For myself, it's a case of do I like it or not

I think that's a fine review and description. I had the same experience there when asking about Paul's Stuff with that it has a small amount of latakia in it and some Erinmore. Still, I like that blend.

Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of Watch City Rhythm & Blues in a 2003 smooth three quarter bend Rinaldo Fiammata Odissea Titania 02 Silver Line 3 Straight Grain egg with a black acrylic tapered stem. It's been a long time since I smoked this pipe.

Chores are done, it would be a nice morning if it wasn't raining. I'm starting the day with GLP Westminster in an MM Apple Diplomat along with a k-cup of Sumatra coffee. I'm trying to decide what to do about a neighbor who thinks the community water companies electricity is his to tap into!

MB Golden Extra of vin. 2010 in my Parker Golden Bark 189 gr. 4 full bent with vulcanite stem. This pipe is the same as a Dunhill 120 gr 4, just labeled as a second - I can't see why, but that's the grader's prerogative. It's a great Tanshell dating to the 1970s when I acquired it, but it's older, who knows. First pipe of the day. Dinner a hamburger patty smothered in mushrooms. My drink, scotch. Beautiful weather, but a storm tomorrow - fireplace time.

I absolutely agree about Jim. I lean heavily on his reviews to help me select tobaccos to try, and to learn about tobacco characteristics. I'm a lot like you here, the bottom line is, "do I enjoy this?" But knowing what it it is that we enjoy about any given tobacco blend becomes part of the enjoyment.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, wild caught cat fish and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm half way through this bowl of Uhle’s Blend 71 in a smooth straight brown family era Sasieni Mayfair 64 N Canadian with a black tapered vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Tomato the Brave likes his bow tie. I remembered that Daisy the Feral Princess used to have one, too, so we gave her one today.
