Would you give us/me a little idea of what this mixture tastes like??? I'm having a hard time getting my head around a combination of ABS and Rum & Maple!! Thanks, FTRPLT

Well, I just tried this because the ABS was lacking in flavor. The mixture turned out to be mostly Rum and Maple, but with maybe a little more interest. Not something I particularly recommend, and I had only mixed a very small batch. I later discovered that the ABS was dry. But when I humidified the ABS a bit, the flavor was much better. I do think, though, that I may start trying a few aromatic English blends.

Earlier, I enjoyed a tasty lunch with Gold Star Hawaiian Kona Extra Fancy, neat for my drink. And smoked a bowl of year 2021 Watch City Glass Slipper Micro-Batch in a post-2000 straight brown sandblasted Tom Eltang cherrywood with a black acrylic saddle stem.

Currently, I am finishing this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Been busy helping out a friend who needed a friend.

Now smoking 1970s Heine's Blend in the very first pipe I ever bought ($2.49) in 1974; a smooth three quarter bend Dr. Grabow Omega military mount with a nickel band and a black vulcanite stem with a p-lip.

A couple of minutes away from smoking year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem.

A final cigar for this evening. Romeo Y Julieta Maduro Reserve. Long aged. I spent the day rebuilding a storm door on my machine shed destroyed by yesterday's wind storm. I made the door 20 yrs ago. The wind & water cracked some joints in the wood. Machined new parts today. All in glue clamps now. Watching a John Wayne Western. Irish Whiskey my drink.

Good morning you guys. As I said yesterday, today was Carter Hall in my very cheap cob pipe on my walk to work. I like CH slightly less than Prince Albert. It came noticeably dryer than the other codger blends it arrived alongside.
I was unable to get a good light.
The wind has been blowing at a rate of at least 8mph consistently since before last December here and it's starting to get on my nerves as I'm unable to smoke indoors and the wind is just atrocious for pipe smoking.
Tomorrow I will be trying Velvet.
My drink is some very fine green tea, my favorite.

Sounds like someone needs a shed!

May I suggest Bob's Chocolate Flake and The Kendall Mayor's Chocolate Flake for your foray into aromatic English blends!! I don't care for most aros, but really enjoy these two!! FWIW, FTRPLT

I just finished smoking Ken Byron Ventures Mr. Christian’s Bright Flek 2021 in a straight smooth medium brown year 1912 Henry Tongue billiard with a tapered amber stem and an orific bit. Been watching the Braves-Red Sox game.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and have passed the first third of this bowl of year 2012 Astley’s No. 55 in a 1978 straight smooth brown BBB Silver Mounted 522 pot with a silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Dodgers-Marlins game, and am downloading cat photos and videos.

Half way through this bowl of 1990s Edgeworth Ready Rubbed in a medium bend dark brown 2017 Don Warren 17 smooth straight grain rough top Dublin with a multi-brown cumberland stem and ferrule in the military mount style.

Not much cat drama today, which was a relief. Sam the Scamp got drunk from the catnip ball. One of the orange scampers wanted to eat my reading glasses. More later.
