The Professor and I went fishing this morning with a bag of Hunting Creek. North Meadow Lake is one of my favorite spots, but the drought and hot weather has rendered it almost unfishable; the last time I went it was almost entirely moss covered. I decided to give it a look now that it has cooled down some and we got a decent rain a few days ago. The west end cove which is usually pretty good to me is still totally moss covered. I did find a few open areas and caught a few small bass. The bottom was still totally moss covered under the open water but the water was clear and I could see the fish moving; I was fishing a small black streamer and it was a hoot watching the bass fry hit it but it was too large for them to take it :ROFLMAO:. I saw the shadows of some big cats prowling; they looked as large as submarines! I was hoping I wouldn't hook one as I was fishing a nice Winston 4wt rod; couldn't see myself fighting one on that rod and would have hated to break it.
