The guy who gifted to me never smoked it. He said he gave it a good clean when he got it, but he didn't think it needed one because he got almost nothing out of it. When I got it, it looked brand new. I couldn't pull any grit out of the stem or shank. The bowl was perfectly clean, barely having any carbon. There was no scent of tobacco in the bowl, shank or stem. The photo you see was taken by me the day I got it. If it was ever smoked, it couldn't have been more than once or twice. @lgoldberg Folger's Black Silk is very good coffee. Your comments about coffee companies is not surprising to me, and I can believe that's the way it is. Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Going to clean a few pipes as we listen to a lecture about colonial America. Sorry, but some forum glitch is preventing me from posting the Charatan. You guys know what it looks like, though. Had better luck this time.
