Inked both the 159 and X159 up with Noodlers Heart of Darkness. Both write wonderfully. Must admit though I like the weight if the older 159, just feels better in my hand.
BH, you are such a bad influence, lol. Cruising Ebay yesterday for pipes and an ad popped up for the Jinhao. Couldn't believe it, but I got the black and silver for $8.50 with shipping and tax. Does it use regular bottle ink? Or are the cartridges better?Keep us up to date with your efforts there. Depending on its age and type of fill system it might be very delicate.
It should come with a converter to use bottle ink (at least mine did). Otherwise it can also take standard cartridges.BH, you are such a bad influence, lol. BH, no worries, if you haven't guessed by now I'm not a glittery or chimney type person. Lol.It uses either…but ”international” cartridges only…not Pilot, Platinum, Lamy, etc. I would not use glitter, shimmer, etc. ink types.
Shimmery, not chimney, damn phoneBH, no worries, if you haven't guessed by now I'm not a glittery or chimney type person. Lol.
Since I won't be carrying mine and only use it at home not worried about losing it, lol.I like orange. Harder to lose.
