She would put the patch on at 5am the day of her chemo treatment and it really helped her Ranger. It was something that stopped the nausea it it's tracks.

Hi Ralph, I do feel bad complaining when I see the women with breast cancer at the oncology center. Those poor ladies go through hell. We have several friends and acquaintances that have gone through it. One, a friend of my wife's developed severe dementia. She just passed away a week ago. I can empathize as I am going through some of the same issues. Can't eat, can't swallow, living on protein drinks. Lost 65 lbs. 225 down to 160. By any chance would you know the name of the patch they gave your wife. I'll try anything that will help. I get up 4/5 times a night to clear my throat. Thanks for the message.

Probably scopamine. My brother has to have it following any anesthesia or he ends up in the ICU. Worth checking on but I assume your doc has that covered. If not ask. They have amazing drugs, but sometimes you have to ask for them. My thoughts are with you. I hope you feel better soon.
 
Enjoyed three ham, cheddar cheese, two egg open face sandwiches, a bowl of Raisin Bran with extra raisins, unsalted peanuts, and a golden delicious apple lunch. I'm almost a third of the way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Jamaican Estate Reserve, neat, is my drink. Thinking about snacking on a couple of cookies.

Well, my LePeltier pipes have arrived! Double wall glazed clay pipes, light enough for a clincher like me and they stay hand cool. I have never smoked a Calabash but I think the double walled bowl functions in a similar manned. I christened this ornamented snifter with Bayou Morning and it was wonderful! Smooth, dry, cool smoke with clean, distinct flavour right through. Thought I'd give it a try with Ready Rubbed match for a follow-up, whiskey and water to pair. It is very comfortable in hand, sits sturdily, and has a pleasing texture. They sent both pipes with spare seals, cork, for the stems - a nice touch.

The other pipe arrived with fractures in the bowl, I have contacted LePeltier about it and will apprise everyone of their response. I would be happy with either a refund or credit, they have other styles I like. If no other solution can be agreed, I hope they can at least offer advice on how to prevent further damage to the pipe, as long as the crack doesnt bleed air I think it would be smokeable. I think it is likely the pipe was damaged in transit, the box has some crushing in one corner.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm almost half way through this bowl of year 2008 Astley’s No. 109 in a straight smooth dark brown year 1926 Parker Super Bruyere patent 3 63/F lovat with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Now smoking year 2016 Peter Heinrichs Special Curly in the first pipe Trever Talbot made when he went to France many years ago. It's a smooth straight Algerian briar Lumberman with a long shank and a black vulcanite saddle stem, unbranded.

Did a little low calorie snacking, and have passed the quarter mark of this bowl of year 2019 Prince Albert in a 2020 smooth light brown, slight bent J. Everett straight grain chubby author with a spalted birch ferrule and a black saddle vulcanite stem in the military mount style. I looked out the back door, and all four ferals were here waiting for me. I let them all in eat, and tried to feed them apart for each other. Tomato the Brave was annoyed by Harry the Hairy, and started a spat, so out he went. Harry ate in peace. Daisy the Feral Princess didn't eat much, but she seemed okay. Abner the Eager ate in the bathroom in peace, and decided to stay there out of the line of feral fire.

A third of the way through this bowl of undated McCranies Red Flake in a straight smooth brown post-WWII Derby Natural Grain billiard (Sasieni) with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Couldn't sleep. Watching the very worst episode of The Adventures of Superman, Mr. Zero. At least actor Herb Vigran is in it. He has one line where he says about Lois Lane to Mr. Zero, "Being a woman, and not knowing any better..." Funny thing is that this line was written by a woman, Peggy Chantler.

It's sunny and 60 degrees. What a difference. I have a zoot suit on all day yesterday and I'm in shorts with no shirt sitting in the sun right now. Blue sky. Every year we tend to get a week of this in February then boom back to rain. I'll savor it. I have a new MM cob I'm about to light up filled with VIP. Last couple of letters.

Nice! I have three double wall clays; admittedly they haven't been out of the cabinet in a long time. Can't tell you who made them; the top two were purchased in a drug store in Hays, Kansas around 1968 or so, back when most drug store still sold pipes, etc. The calabash came from Troost; got it with my Troost coupons. I had ordered a big deep bent that was in pieces when I got it; the Troost folks replaced it with this. I didn't complain :) !

@Idlefellow I particularly like the Calabash. Blue on white pottery aways reminds me of Deftware, traditional Dutch ceramics. My mother's heritage is 20 C. Dutch, her father came here between the first and second WW and her mother's grandfather was Dutch Mennonite and came just after the Boer War.

Starting my week-end with my Breakfast of Champions, Mark Twain in the Re-Gent today. Coffee in attendance.
