About a quarter of a bowl left of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Been busy feeding all the ferals. They were at the back door, and I let them in. They're too hungry to give each other a hard time. I fed my cats first.

Did a set of walking reps on this very muggy, humid day, and am finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem. The rain stopped an hour ago, and the air was full of moisture, but it didn't bother Tomato the Brave. He walked part of two laps with me with his tail swinging back and forth. Abner the Eager didn't want me to leave. He grabbed my right foot, and cried for attention, which he got before I went walking. He's on top of my chair right now.

Enjoyed a Jethro Bodine size bowl of Raisin Bran with extra raisins thrown in, unsalted peanuts and a golden delicious apple followed by a three egg, ham and cheese sandwich lunch. I'm near the last third of this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Jamaican Estate Reserve, neat, is my drink.

Near the last quarter of this bowl of Wilke Back Bay w/o perique in a straight smooth brown undated pre-Republic Peterson Dublin Sterling Canadian 264 with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem.

I'm finishing the bent MM Missouri Pride filled with GLP Odyssey that I started before dinner. This afternoon we got the beef brisket into the brine to become St. Patrick's Day corned beef!

@scottbtdmb I've notice you have several pipes with semi-saddle stems. They are very attractive. Are they more comfortable than a regular tapered stem? More stable?

I had a bowl of Bayou Morning in my Savinelli bent Dublin while I watched the last two episodes of The Old Man on Disney+, with Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, almost two pounds of thick cut pork chops, and a can of pork & beans dinner with oatmeal raisin cookies and a small bowl of rocky road ice cream for dessert. I'm half way through this bowl of year 2019 C&D Derringer in a straight smooth brown 1920s (Comoy’s) Lions Head 399 Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

What's the lighter?
It belonged to my friend Wayne. It was one of the few things I kept. I gave his tobacco and pipes to a friend just starting to smoke. It was a good start.
I kept his Buddha necklace, a scorpion Keychain from the Grand Canyon which we visited together many times and a vase from the Navajo reservation. All hugely valuable to me.

Took me forever to figure out how to work it.😳

Enjoyed some snacking, and have passed the half way mark of this bowl of year 2020 D&R Penhooker Silver in a straight smooth brown undated pre-Republic Peterson Shamrock 263 Canadian with a nickel band and a tapered black p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Tomato the Brave came in to eat, and play. He bit my right foot and ankle several times, very gently, and then batted a cat nip ball around the den. And then he came back to grab my foot and bunny kick me. That hurt just a little, so I made him stop. Tomato looked up at me like he knew he did something wrong. I scratched his head, he gently nipped my hand, gave it a lick, and went back to batting around cat nip toys. He finally ran out of energy, and laid his head on my foot for a snooze. Sleepy Suzy was watching him, and kept looking back at me, probably wondering why I don't make ketchup out of a Tomato.

Honestly, I never thought about it, but you’re right that I have a few pipes like that. I think it has more to do with my love of Savinelli Estella’s than the stem. I have never been too particular about stems, aside from not caring for anything beyond 1/4 bent and also preferring acrylic to vulcanite.

Take care,
Scott
