    Maybe I am crazy

Its good to see an Ebayer selling nice stuff at buy-it-now prices that are actually acceptable, with the exception of the David Jones which often close for less than that in Jones' own Ebay store. For my tastes, if I were buying pipes today I'd jump on that Viprati. Steve

    Four Savinelli

. Four Savinelli estates. The 677 is a recent addition from Jon's Pipe Shop in Urbana IL. The others were in a lot of 8 Ebay Savs I picked up just to get these three. And for you, Harlock999...yep, more steering wheel photos! I sold the floor mats though. The bubble wrap is a bit...

What are Canadian Pipe Smokers Doing Today?

Great photo. Now if only we could have a video from that same perspective, of you plowing out the snow! Steve

Custom ordered Tamper for someone on EBAY

From the looks of that 50 BMG case and primer, it must have had one hot load in it. Rob_In_MO did you fire that? Steve

    You a 1-brander?

I'm a one-brand smoker. The brand is David Johnson (Ozark Mountain Briars) and I'm down to 8 of them. I was up to over 120 pipes of various brands and culled them in 5 waves of selling to get money. Each time I went through the collection to sell some, I always passed up the DJs. The final...

    mk handmade-Manfred Korziolek

Nice photos! First time I've seen a mirror or wicker used in pipe images. They both work great. Steve

    pitiful.

Will someone please explain to this ignorant smoker what the real problem is with this? Its not like its being hauled in the back of a manure spreader, and its not exactly destined to go into miso soup either. What's going to go wrong here that's any worse, itself, than blowing burnt tobacco...

Large chunk of nice plateau on Ebay - not much time left

I'm not a fan of huge pipes like this, but if I wanted a chunk of plateau with proven nice grain, predrilled with finished stem, to carve down into something smaller I'd be bidding on this...

    eBay Strategy

Not buying pipes any more, but when I was, the OP's method worked for me about half the time. One time I set an auto-bid so high that I knew everyone else would be out-bid no matter what - just to see how high an unusually large Wally Frank rusticated Canadian could go. I think I paid $92 for...

    Il Ceppo?

. I owned one and have only good things to say about it. I had to liquidate it along with most of my collection last year. Steve

Lets See Pics Of Your First Pipe And Do You Still Have It?

. This is it I think. I no longer have it. Steve

    A New Pipe Accessory

Boy, that is dumb. The idea is patented? That reminds me of a US patent for how to roll up your socks that I once saw. Steve

Long smokes uncomfortable. What's a better pipe shape?

You could also try targeting light pipes - no more than 35 oz max, and down to 28 oz can usually still give a usable bowl size in traditional designs. Fancy or bulky designs have too much wood to be light. Two makers who regularly offer pipes in that range are Kurt Huhn's Countryman Collection...

Brandy pipe that I did on Saturday (not finished)

    Absolutely lovely shape. Congratulations! Steve

    This ain't a fair fight

I once ate something that was kind of like that. It escaped about 6 hours later, before I died from it. It was something I found in a Chinese buffet late on a Sunday evening. Steve

    Easy Software to Shrink Photos

I built this one years ago and have been using it ever since, as have others who've discovered it. I don't try to promote it, but its for anybody who wants to use it. http://www.stevesite.us/cgi-bin/resize.cgi Steve

Quote that I saw that fits my situation

This may not be what you want to hear, but if a person can't figure out why they're in college, they may not belong there. That's not meant as a negative message - rather, it is motivation to be true to yourself. That's why I dropped out after my third years of undergraduate studies, though...

Talbert raises the benchmark in fantasy pipes

Trever Talbert has just set a new high-water mark for all pipe makers in the fantasy category, with his newest Halloween pipes. This is just beyond words.... Be sure to click on his Blog link at the top, for his comments about resuming the Halloween line...

Some great additions to my collection

I had a couple of rusticated Willmer "Hand Carved" that had no grade markings. Perhaps none of the "Hand whatever" pipes did. There's not a lot of information out there about non A-series Willmer pipes. Steve
