    It had to happen eventually

Oh, and I feel the same way. SWMBO, however...

    It had to happen eventually

Yep...that's pretty much my experience, and my proposed solution. We're putting a bid in on our "Plan A" house this weekend - fortunately, if we land it it'll be less than 15 minutes from our current house and ends up being at most an extra 5 minute commute for me.

    Rossi Pipes?

My brother has a Rossi that picked up for a song. He says it smokes well, but took some breaking in before he could really get the best taste from the tobacco - once he got it to that point it's been in his rotation pretty steadily. But that's just one guy with one pipe, so who knows?

STG-Lane 1-Q vs Captain Black Royal

I'm under the impression that the Captain Black blends all have an analog under the 1Q brand, only without as much PG. I can't remember what they are (is CB White maybe RLP-6? I don't remember). It's all anecdotal, though - no one "in the know" has ever told me as much. I've also never...

    It had to happen eventually

My wife has wanted to move for four or five years now. As a teacher, her position was never perfectly stable - RIFs are all the rage around here, and as soon as you land in a new district you're right back at the bottom of the seniority ladder, and the cycle repeats. So I've been pretty...

    Haddo's Delight

I love Haddo's both fresh and aged. I think I've said this another thread once upon a time, but it's like they're two totally different blends. Most VaPers change a lot with age, but there's still that "Yep...this is Blend X, but the age has made it sweeter and deeper." With Haddos, the way...

    A sad day in Blighty

No one was telling you what to do, man.  I was just pointing out that the reason we aren't "supposed to talk about it" ("it" meaning Poland and Poland, alone) had nothing to do with be being PC but with the actual facts.  I feel the same way you do about political correctness, and I'm not...

    A sad day in Blighty

In this case, it shouldn't be discussed because it's factually inaccurate. Poland did not take an anti-refugee stance from many (not all) terror-affiliated places until two-three years ago...so any maps from the past decade take into account a period during which a majority years these...

    What are you smoking?

Finished off the Red Paramour last tonight. Today I've been getting to know McClelland's 40th Anniversary (so far in a Todd Harris smooth bent bulldog and a bent Ozark Wizard bent Osage orange wood).

    Samuel Gawith Grousemoor

Grousemoor in a pipe: tolerable to excellent depending on mood. Grousemoor as a snuff: find a fire hose and blast any last remnants out of the schnozz.

    Tobaccocellar.com users?

I use it...I'm a little nervous after a prolonged outage last month, but it's convenient enough that I stay around. Can't answer your question about how to update what you've just smoked - it's not something I've really taken enough of an interest in to investigate. I've seen DrT in that feed...

McClelland 40th Anniversary back in stock

Good heads up! Missed it the first time around, just jumped on a handful of tins.

    What are you smoking?

Three day weekend ahead, lot's of plans to smoke a number of blends... ...and now I'm sick.

    P&C Situation Rectified

They're always finding "lost stashes" or "forgotten projects." I guess that makes me wonder about tobacco buyers-at-large. We don't strike me as an incredibly gullible group, but maybe that's because the corner of the pipe universe I live in isn't a large enough sample size. As far as I'm...

    Sifter Pouch

Yeah, that's pretty much the whole point. Useless things, I think. I carried one for about a month then ditched it for the one I'd always used.

    RIP Sir Roger Moore

And so goes a legend. Every fall, I rewatch the entire James Bond canon, and have read all of the books several times over.  Needless to say, I'm a huge fan of all things Bond. He was a fine actor, brought a new twist to the iconic role, and by most accounts was a damn fine, upstanding, decent...

    What are you smoking?

In a rare Latakia mood today, so I broke out some "Hunters Lodge." It's a house bulk from a local shop which I'm fairly certain is McClelland Coyote Classic. Smoking in a large S&R freehand.

    What are you snuffing?

McCrystals Hops. Hated it when I first tried it a few years ago, now it's my "always keep a tin in the desk at work" snuff.
