    Dunhill Tobaccos Doomed

Yep. Regardless of how anyone feels about the current political landscape, and purely within the limits of the tobacco industry/hobby, if we were going to get any relief from the current trend, this administration and congress is about the best hope we're going to get (even then, though, the...

    Dunhill Tobaccos Doomed

Even in this uncertain environment, I'd be shocked if someone doesn't step in and scoop it up.

    Snuff????

This. But for my part, I'm as almost as absorbed by snuff these days as I am pipe tobacco (cigars are enjoyable, but a clear third).

What are your top 5 favorite bulk tobaccos?

I forgot about Greenodd Rope...that's good stuff too. My only complaint was that the moisture was way too high and required a lot of drying time (even more than I need for SG flakes). Maybe it was just that batch?

    Looking for infomation and advice.

I think there are a few folks here that have been part of show organizing...but, until they chime in my best advice is to find a way to get to a show at some point. Not trying to sound flippant (please don't take this that way), but I'd think it'd be very, VERY hard to set up an event when...

    Yo, DrT

Sounds like it'd be very nice to sit down and enjoy along side some strong black coffee. I really like strong blends early in the day and milder ones in the evening (which seems to be the opposite of what most prefer). Regardless, it sounds like a real winner.

What's in your rotation right now?

I'm similar, but three isn't quite enough for me. I find I need a Va or VaPer, a burley, and a Latakia blend open to choose from...plus I have my own blend I toss together and usually one of the PS flakes/coins in my pouch. And, every now and then, I get the urge to crack a specific tin that I...

What are your top 5 favorite bulk tobaccos?

Hmmm...I'd probably go with (in no order): H&H Louisiana Red PS LBF C&D Poplar Camp John Patton Crossroads (I really need to get more of this ASAP) GH Ennerdale Flake

What's in your rotation right now?

I try to keep my list of open tins/jars to a minimum (just a personal preference). Right now its: GLP Chelsea Morning St. Bruno Flake My "house" Bur/Ver/Per blend PS LNF (always on hand in my tobacco pouch) I also have a tin of SG BBF and GLP Quiet Nights open, but those were only for a...

    GL Pease Blends

I had one bowl a few years ago (someone at a pipe show was cracking his last tin and graciously passed it around the table for all to try).  So weird, but so good!

    Yo, DrT

Thanks for the input, all. High-N isn't a problem as long as avoid back-to-back bowls of the stuff...sounds like something to add to the cart!

    Yo, DrT

I was logging into tobaccocellar, and the social feed at the top said you'd just added some of the War Horse Bar to your cellar. Have you smoked any of it yet? I was considering grabbing some but I'm totally on the fence. It seems like our tastes are often pretty similar, thought I'd see if...

    GL Pease Blends

I'm similar...sort of. I do have a quite a bit of GLP on hand, but I still like to space them out just so that they're that much more enjoyable. I don't spread out from bowl-to-bowl though. If I open a tin, it goes into the rotation and I smoke it regularly until it's empty - but then I...

    What are you smoking?

GLP Chelsea Morning in a Todd Harris bulldog.

    Happy Thursday!

    Ha! Fair enough, Wiz.

    Happy Thursday!

In some quarters, the filler is emptied out and the "homogenized leaf tube" is used to hold and burn certain other leaves.

    Bah! Humbug!

Also useful for shaking at teenagers whenever they pass by!

    What are you snuffing?

I have a really, really hard time with menthol. Not a big fan of the aroma, and it tends to plug me up very quickly. For me, today's pinch is Bernard's Winterpris.

    GL Pease Blends

Perfectly said. As to full English, I'm not sure I think of Quiet Nights as all that full...lots of VA sweetness behind the smoky stuff. Unless I'm thinking of a different blend (which is entirely possible)! It's been a while since I really smoked super-heavy Latakia blends, but my brother...

    Happy Thursday!

I assume you're very well-stocked on grape White Owls, though, right?
