    Straightgrain vs. Crossgrain

    In my experience, the direction of the grain makes no difference in the smoking qualities of a pipe. The thing that makes the most difference (other than the engineering of the pipe), IMHO, is the curing of the brair itself. Jay

    Well, I got three tins of McClelland CC '07, a Tinsky blast 2-star sitter, a nice pipe rack from a friend over at Smokers' Forums and a tin of S. Gawith 1792. Mark really makes great pipes and the CC'07 is excellent. Jay

    Hi! My name is Jay and I am a member of a couple other online pipe forums. When Bill B. mentioned this place at one of these, I thought I'd check BoB out. I am a Pastor in SW Louisiana and have a house full of energetic kids, a beautiful wife (who is willing to put up with my pipe smoking)...
