When you think of pipemakers...

When you think of specific pipe makers, do you think of anything specific? For instance, when I think of Roush or J.T. Cooke, I think of blasts. When I think of Castello, I think of the hawkbill shape. Regretfully, I don't have any pipes by Roush or Cooke, nor do I have a Castello hawkbill. Still, for me, the association exists in my mind. How about you? Do you associate any pipemakers with specific shapes, finishes, size, etc? Just curious what you all have to say.

'Castello' brings images of perfect, golden flame grained Fiamattas and huge swaths of birdseye

'Ruthenberg' brings forth images of deeply craggy yet gracefully flowing sandblasts with wedding ring and cumberland bits

'Negoita' brings forth images of nature as art sculpted in briar

When I think of Jess Chonowitsch, I think of a second mortgage.

When I think of Todd Johnson, I think of the one and only billiard I have ever seen by him that took my breath away.

And when I think of Peterson, I think of the trip we took to the Dublin shop which was a massive disappointment. Even though I did buy one of those green ashtrays.
