    SECRET SANTA 2011

That was quite a year! Glad there were no major problems as well. Mine took a lot longer than expected due to my ambition being much great than my talent so I had to make a substitution at the last minute. Other than that, enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks guys and thanks again to Carlos for...

    Oregon!

    Welcome!

I'm sure this has been asked before.

It all depends but usually its a matter if you buy bulk tobacco or tinned tobacco. Most of the stuff I like doesn't come in bulk so I have many tins in my cellar. If you buy bulk tobacco the best way to store it is in sealed jars. Some people swear by jars even if they buy tinned tobacco. The...

    SECRET SANTA 2011

Like a dream man. I was very impressed. When I first received it the stem was a little loose but that was from it being cold, after it warmed up it was perfect. Great wide open draw. Like I said, I can't believe I hadn't looked at Larsen's before.

    SECRET SANTA 2011

Sorry, I am just now getting around to posting a picture of my amazing gift. It's funny, W.O. Larsen's aren't a pipe brand I ever paid much attention to but it is a gorgeous and very well made pipe. How come no one told me??? Thanks again for such a wonderful gift. This year's Secret...

    SECRET SANTA 2011

Dang I'm away for a day and all kinds of gifts come in. Very impressive. In fact this is looking like one of the best years yet. Just when you think it can't be topped the generosity of you guys surprises me once again. On that note, I received my package on Friday. UPS actually tried to...

How soon to use from the production date?

I always try things fresh if I've never smoked them before. Aging has really just become the thing to do fairly recently. Tobacco blenders make their stuff ready to smoke as soon as it hits the shelf. It is fun to buy more than one tin of the same blend and smoke one now and then one later with...

    Suggestions for first tin tobacco

Perhaps G L Pease's Robusto? It contains some cigar leaf as well as some Cyprian Latakia which will give it smokiness. http://www.smokingpipes.com/tobacco/by-maker/g-l-pease/moreinfo.cfm?product_id=2425
