A generous haul, no doubt about it. What's the tobacco with the red label behind the Bob's Chocolate Flake? I don't know that one.

RE: Bob's Chocolate Flake; for me, in a briar I just got mild Lakelands; in a cob, the Lakeland's were balanced by some chocolate notes. I enjoy reading the reviews of this one, just to see how others experience it.

I haven't tried Chocolate Flake yet myself, I just can't imagine NOT liking anything with the word chocolate in it... but just "hints"??? I might have to get my chocolate fix somewhere else... maybe some really goopy chocolate tobacco would be right for me. :lol:

I get more cacao hints in GS Chocolate Flake, and I wouldn't call either 'chocolate'-like. YMMV

Wahoo! My package arrived today...and it's contents did not dissapoint in the least!

100g Tin MacB Virginia # 1 with already a year's age on it

and

1 Baggie full of a custom blend of Stokkeby Luxury Navy Flake & McC Matured Virgina Flake

and

an absolutely beutifull pipe, handmade by Santa Todd himself!

Look at this beauty!





Also included was a note from Santa Todd, in which was stated: "This pipe is one of my earlier pipes, but I was always very proud of it. I think it should be a nice little smoker for your. I realize it may pale next to your Rad Davis. Just keep a couple of other pipes between the two..."

Now I point this out because I must object. The above pipe is a beutiful thing indeed. A fantastic shape, well executed. Perfect size, excellent proportion, very well cut bit, great finish and grain. I don't think it pales next to anything, in fact it's new home is center shelf, right smack dab in the middle of my favorite rack, between my two Rad Davis pipes...and I think it looks fantastic right there:




Great work Santa Todd. Can't wait to light this puppy up, and looking forward to trying out the custom blend as well, it definitely sounds good.
