    Very Special Savinelli Autograph E

No kidding! An E with a blast. Surprised. I've tried Googling without success. I just sent emails to Savinelli ad to several purveyors of Savinellis. Also to some 'pro' collectors I know. Maybe you can find out how to contact this Jeff person . . . . Thanks for replying to the post. BTW...

    Very Special Savinelli Autograph E

Good morning, What can you tell me about the Savinelli Autograph grade E. I’ve been told it’s above an Autograph 0000 but I’ve never seen one for sale at shops or on eBay. How rare is this grade? Are there also 00E grades? Seems to me I’ve heard of that one, too I’ll appreciate any...

    Goodbye Watson.

When I commented about you looking good, I didn't know you had recently lost your friend. My apologies and condolences. I know what it is to lose a beloved dog.

    Ed Burak's Connoisseur Giants

Yes. It's also an exceptionally good smoker, as is that Oom Paul . . . the more conventional-looking one.

    Ed Burak's Connoisseur Giants

To my knowledge, Ed never used the term 'magnum.'

    Can anyone help me identifying?

That 3-tier 66-pipe rack is amazing. I've never seen one that big. Looking at the top row, 10th pipe from our left . . . is that by any chance stamped CONNOISSEUR over N.Y.C.? I don't see anything exceptional or high-grade among the other pipes . . . .

    Can anyone help me identifying?

I'd like to see pics of some of the Meerschaum and wood ones . . . if you have them, too.

    Can anyone help me identifying?

The shank is cherry. Most of the pipes in this style have cherry shanks. The pipes are more common in Meerschaum than in porcelain Some of the most beautifully carved ones are in wood (see Ben Rapaport's latest book THE WIDE WORLD OF WOOD TOBACCO PIPES).

    Accessories Wanted Peterson's stem

Yes. Charles recently did an incredible restoration for me on a badly cracked Peterson's 9BC. He and George Dibos are the best I've found. However, just for a stem, I'll avoid the high postage rates and difficult Canadian customs officials. I've made inquiries and am awaiting replies from...
