    What movie are you watching?

I just watched Mulan on Disney. Nice, feel good movie , not too much over the top with CGI. Not my normal kind of movie but I was curious and enjoyed it.

    What's your favorite coffee?

I have been a fresh ground bean fan for almost 20 years now. My favorite everyday coffee is a medium roast Guatemalan Atitlan, although admittedly I mostly use whatever medium roast that Costco has at the time. I always do a pour over using water that has just started to bubble but not hard...

    Foods lost in your Childhood?

My mom made a beef stew using canned corned beef. I have not made it to equal my memory which was one of my favorite dishes she made. We also frequently ate canned green peas in a white sauce served over buttered toast. That one I can make and is another favorite although I don't eat toast or...

    Aromatic Question

Back in the day we had an "Americanized" English blend called Walnut from Middletons. It was always strongly debated because the latakia was present in very small amounts and it had a topping added which many felt disqualified it from the English category. The topping always reminded me of PA or...

So, what do you think about when enjoying your pipe?

I play a lot of chess, online, and my pipe is the perfect companion to help me work through some difficult positions.

    Small terrorists acts

Feel for you Wiz, my cabin is a bit north of you, near (not on, couldn't stand that) LOZ and losing cable is no fun. Actually for TV I just use an OTA antenna but cable internet is a vital service.

    Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas all. Haven't been much of a BoB recently but the holidays have got me thinking of it again.

    What and Why?

Love your Rosslare 05. I have been trying to buy one just like that for a couple of years. Even ordered it at a couple of prominent pipe retailers and still no luck. Bet it smokes fantastic as do almost all Petes.

    What and Why?

Nice collection PD. Stanwells were all the rage here a few years back. Don't have quite as many as you do but they are all great smokers. I have pretty much concentrated on the brass band versions recently, see you have a couple of those in your collection.

    A Quality Lighter

I don't use torch lighters any more and do like using matches for my cigars when I can. For torches the only one I have that continues to work is my original scuba tank Blazer from when they first came out, it does not get used much any more but whenever I fill it up it lights first time...

Brigham Pipes. Anybody use one ?

Coming from Canada, most of my older good pipes are all Brighams. A friend of mine ran a "mens" store back in the late '80's and when he closed his doors I bought all of his good Brighams, 5-7 dots and they are exceptionally good pipes. Since then I have added to the collection and today have...

Just got fired. No PAD or TAD for a while...

Sorry to hear that Rob. You will bounce back and likely for the better! Been in that same situation 2x in the past 10 years. Each time I was able to improve things the next time around. I know you will do the same. If you need anything just holler, us Show Me's stick together.

Donald "Duck" Dunn The Pipe Smoking Bassist Passed Away

Duck Dunn, Steve Cropper and Booker T, backing up Joe Walsh. Wife and I were in the audience, one of the greatest concerts ever. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mcveyL_7xn8" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" frameborder="0" loading="lazy"...

Anyone here suscribe to a YouTube Pipe channel?

DunhillmanUK is always good for a chuckle although recently his posts all seem to be about the same, vs his old ones where he showed off different techniques etc. HolySmokeNPipePadre is another one with a very unique sense of humor, especially for a man of the cloth.

    Wader repair?

I am pretty sure Cabelas sells a repair kit for their waders. Mine are Cabelas breathable as well and if I am not mistaken there was a patch kit included with them, I am sure it is long lost now.

Bite protectors - who uses them and how do you like them?

If I remember right, Mikem or one of the long time BoB's used to do the same thing, regular clear commercial tubing. Different sizes too for different sized stems.

Bite protectors - who uses them and how do you like them?

Rob, I started one of the more recent threads concerning shrink tube so I will save you the trouble, was easy for me to track it down. https://www.brothersofbriar.com/t16242-diy-bite-protectors

    Stem oil and polishing

I have always used olive oil but got a bottle of the Obsidian oil free with a pipe purchase so I tried it and have to admit it is good stuff. For the price and the little bit you use I think I am a convert.

    Your favorite B&M/Smoking Spot

KC has a really good selection of pipe shops, including 2 mega-cigar stores that do cater more to the faux-cigar sports bar crowd. My favorite is Cigar & Tabac which is family operated, great place to hang out and boasts a world-class selection of pipes, tobacco and a huge...
