My tobacco buddy made me these pipe holders and put them in the box. Pretty cool and makes for better pictures.
I like the foldy one the best. The others are touchy on how the pipe is shaped.I have seen those STL files around but I havnt printed any of them yet. Do you have a favorite?
Let me see what my friend can whip up on his printer.I've found those "foldy" pipe holders best, too. In cheap plastic. But I'd love to find a sculpture or carving of a pretty girl or some such to have as my pipe rest. Anyone have any such thing? I've seen a few antique things like a dog and a shoe, etc. None of which spoke to me as aesthetic sculptures or carvings. Anyone?
Wow, these were made on a 3D printer?!My tobacco buddy made me these pipe holders and put them in the box. Pretty cool and makes for better pictures.

Yes. I have a friend who's been a lifetime smoker and can't quit. So I got him to join me with smoking a pipe. Cut his cigarettes in half .Wow, these were made on a 3D printer?!
That sounds really cool, I'd love to see the pipe holders that come out of that effort.Yes. I have a friend who's been a lifetime smoker and can't quit. So I got him to join me with smoking a pipe. Cut his cigarettes in half .
He is a total nerd and builds extravagant N scale railroads-cities and businesses for his towns. He lives on that 3D printer.
He's hooked on pipes now so I reap the benefits.
Some of his stuff. He prints and wires the switches.

I bought him tobacco and restored a couple of pipes that he forgot to open because he got this forklift from Germany for his warehouse.

We're going to go through models this weekend and see what we can convert to cool pipe holders. I'll post pics and links to the models when I'm done.

Not much luck finding a file to modify. I may have to learn to code the files myself then modify someones existing file. The only art skills I have becides appreciating it.
Not wanting to show up empty handed.
Take a trip on Wayne's Trains.
And it even has a pipe in it.
