Talking about pipes in another thread about Roman Kovalev pipes eventually led me to this Kevin Aurthur (I don't know much about his work...someone care to elaborate?)...

I got that itchy clicky finger... and fortunately am flat broke and so--no dice... I'm just going to lament about it here and show it to you guys. I like pipes that have that nice nautilus-like twist...dark, asymmetrical blasted panels... nice bend...neat stem... dammit. Maybe it'll be around in a month or two, but with a nice price like that...

That is a nice pipe! Different in a lot of cool ways!

Good luck NOT buying it.. 8)

There just isn't any way. Goose eggs ain't even good for eatin', as it turns out.

You better believe I was gawking at that sucker! I was drawn more towards the OTHER Kevin Arthur on the site, however. Somehow I ended up with my Kovalev, I ain't complaining... I've got that Pot from Kevin on its way, should be here next week so all I can say about his work is, I'll tell you later! :p

I hope you get the funds soon! I'd like to see that pipe go to a good home.
Nice taste. ;)

How's about a nice copy/paste from his site, if you haven't looked already.

"Every pipe that I craft consists of the finest components available to me including plateaux and cross-cut briar from Romeo Briar (Mimmo) and exotic decorative materials from around the globe. I use cast Acrylic and Polyesters from the USA and Italy as my stem material of choice for their lasting beauty and ease of care.

Each pipe that I craft has an open airway of 5/32" from bowl to stem. All stems have an open the airway that tapers from 5/32" to 5/64" and are funneled and trumpeted at the button. The stem thickness at the button is approximately 4mm or slightly thicker for larger pipes and very comfortable. I use Delrin tenons exclusively on all pipes. Some pipe bowls are coated if there is a variance in the wall thickness due to the shape."

Kyle, that is for sure a beautiful piece of craftsmanship from Mr. Arthur and Im sure it will be a great smoker for someone.

As for me, I could never buy it, not because of the cost, but cause I just could never get over the fact that it looks like an upside-down pile of poo.

I prefer to think of it as a DQ chocolate dipped cone.

I hate all of you now. Ice cream, poop, good lord, guys.

That's cool. Turnabout is fair play. 8)

LOL you know you laughed after you realized you posted a poo pipe.
Thanks, now I can't get that image out of my head either! <g>
I haven't heard from a lot Kevin Arthur owners, but the ones I've read about seemed pleased. His estate pipes sell quite reasonably. He seems to stay low on the radar (like David Jones, etc.)

So now I have to consider an estate poop/choco-cone pipe, too? I prefer my poop/choco-cone a one-user only kind of thing, thank you.

Who am I kidding? I'd buy an estate one.

When all's said and done, Kyle, it's a beautiful poop/choco-cone.
Ahh, feels like the third grade again :)

Which for you, was only last year, you pup, you. Ooooh! Burn! Kidding. :p

Anyway, yeah well, this thread has probably served me well, as now no one will buy it out from under me (...another poop pun? I think not...), and the price will probably go down $50 because of it.

Sophomoric posts do have their value, to all you naysayers. 8)

Yes. Can you imagine what it would look like hanging out of his mouth in his avitar?

I'm so glad I'm clueless to pop-culture memes. 8)

Anyway, thanks, everyone for talking me out of this pipe. Really. Buncha pals, y'all are.

Yes, we care about you, bro. Sometimes we get a little to trigger happy and need a bro to sober us up. United we stand. That sort of thing you know.
